The Madness of March

Well, March Madness is underway and we are quite caught up in it in our house. The Badgers made the tourney after being on the bubble. On Selection Sunday, my husband waited nervously, when finally the announcement was made. He ran around our house cheering wildly in celebration. Our dog started barking, unsure what to think of this.

The last four years we have welcomed March Madness by making a large bracket with all 64 teams on it. Each year we have made little improvements to it. The first year it was made out of paper towels, year 2 included 4 pieces of white tag board, year 3 was blue tag board and little tabs with each team that were color coded to go with their seed. This year we made even more improvements. We used black tag board, metallic markers for each round, color coded tabs and glitter glue to decorate. I'm not sure what changes we will make for next year, but we have a lot of time to think about it. If you have suggestions let us know!!

Here is a picture of our bracket. Go Badgers!!

It's a boy!!!

Another change is that Anthony and I now have a dog. We just got him on Wednesday. He is a black lab/husky mix. He is about 5 months old. Our new apartment complex allows dogs, and we both decided that we really wanted one. We had been looking online and talking to people we know to try to find a dog. Last Tuesday we were looking in the Mayo Clinic classified ads and we saw a black lab and called about him. The lady said he was gone, but that she had another dog if we wanted to go look at him. We went over to her home that same night, and we instantly fell in love with Trax. We brought him home the next day and have really enjoyed having him. Here our some pictures of our little boy!

Changes

Well.. Anthony and I have had a lot of changes taking place in our lives these last few weeks. Anthony is done with classes and is working full-time at Kids Come 1st. He has also started his internship with the youth pastors at Autumn Ridge Church. He is really enjoying it so far. He recently helped with their weekend retreat. I am still busy with school, but am no longer busy with basketball coaching because the season ended the last week of February.

However, our biggest change is that we no longer live in the married apartments at Crossroads. We moved to an apartment complex that is off of Hwy. 52 at the 41st street exit. We are now very close to Beth and Karl. It is a two bedroom apartment. It has a washer and dryer and a dishwasher. These are very big things for us. We are so excited about having so much space. We moved Feb. 28th.

Below are some pictures of our new place. We are not completely done with the decorating, but we thought we'd show you our place anyway.
